How teachers earn college credit
Four is the number to remember: up to four graduate-level semester credits per seminar, issued by University of Massachusetts Global. The university is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), and no teacher has to take the credit.
At the end of the training, registration forms are given out. The form goes to UMass Global along with the credit fee, which each teacher pays directly and which is separate from the training cost.
How is the credit earned? Through a follow-up practicum in your own classroom, finished within six months of the training, after which the credit is awarded. Michelle Becker handles credit questions at yatesdm1@msn.com.
